Landspreading of Non-Farm Wastes – Advisors
This 2-day WAMITAB accredited course covers the legal, technical and practical aspects of spreading different non-farm wastes on agricultural land. It covers the requirements of the Environmental Permitting Regulations and has a particular focus on assessing and quantifying agricultural benefit, the formal application process to the Environment Agency, and the use of Pollution Risk Assessments.
There is huge interest in using wastes from a wide range of non-agricultural sources on farmland. As the limitations on waste disposal to landfill and the costs of treatment increase, so land spreading becomes more attractive to waste producers. Additionally, when properly applied, such wastes will have valuable benefits from the farmer’s point of view.
This course is suitable for those involved with Waste Management, Composting, Waste Producers, Agricultural Merchants, Utility Companies, Farmers and Environmental and Agricultural Consultants.
This course is registered for 22 BASIS CPD points.
Delegates will receive a WAMITAB certificate of attendance upon completion of the training.
